I took this photo yesterday from the University of Texas-El Paso campus. On Aug. 21, a stray bullet randomly flew from approximately this neighborhood on the Mexican side of the border into a glass door on campus during a shootout. Students were apparently “unfazed” in their excitement to start school. Life on the border goes on.
